ABOUT US
SIDEWALK SHENANIGANS
Sidewalk Shenanigans was started in Ann Arbor, MI in 2021 by professional artist Chris M. Monaghan and his wife (homeschool teacher) Denise Rodriguez. With the help of several teachers and a CAFE arts grant, we started putting together curriculum for students to explore the world around them. Sidewalk Shenanigans is now based out of Florida and continues to develop new content for everyone to enjoy.
OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
We have three core principles to our lesson plans...
Physical activity. We feel the best way to learn is to physically be able to touch, explore and experience it first-hand.
Mastering a lesson before moving forward to the next. Not understanding something (even a single word) and moving forward can make learning difficult as the student advances.
Have a good time. Learning should be exciting and enjoyable. The chances a student will retain what they’ve learned increases significantly if they have fun while doing it!

CHRIS M. MONAGHAN
Chris is a professional artist based out of Florida. His work has been featured across the United States including murals, street paintings and paintings.
He is a graduate of Colorado Tech University and is the founder of Sidewalk Shenanigans.
DENISE RODRIGUEZ
Denise has been homeschooling two wonderful children for the past five years. Her energy and enthusiasm for education is the foundation for making learning fun.
She is a graduate of Lake Michigan College and co-founder of Sidewalk Shenanigans.
